Job Context:
∎ - Department of Public health and Informatics (DPHI) of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) invites application for BELIEVE - Slum study from suitable candidates for the position of "Health Technician".
∎ - The appointment will be made on a Contractual Service Agreement (CSA) basis for 1 year which can be extended up to 3 years based on performance.
∎ - The title of the project is "BangladEsh Longitudinal Investigation of Emerging Vascular and Nonvascular Events in an Urban Slum Setting (BELIEVE Slum Study)"
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To collect blood samples from the "BELIEVE-Slum Study" project participants with aseptic precautions.
∎ To take the participant's physical measurements like height, weight, waist circumference, handgrip strength, etc.
∎ To centrifuge blood samples and store serum, plasma, and whole blood separately.
∎ To assist in transferring cryovials to -86 degree Celcius freezer regularly.
∎ To communicate with the participants for telephone-based interviews for participant follow-ups.
∎ To prepare excel reporting spreadsheets regularly as required.
∎ Report to authority monthly/quarterly as required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Applicant should have good communications skill.
∎ Applicant should be competent in using Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
