Job Context:
∎ The Head of Procurement at SAJIDA Foundation holds a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing general administrative functions, with a primary focus on procurement. This position requires effective management skills to ensure smooth operations with efficient procurement processes aligning with the Foundation`s mission and objectives

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Procurement Management:
∎ Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to organisational standards and best practices.
∎ Lead the procurement team in sourcing and procuring goods, services, and equipment for the Foundation's operations.
∎ Identify reputable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish favorable terms and conditions to achieve cost-effectiveness.
∎ Monitor procurement timelines, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services to meet operational demands.
∎ Evaluate supplier performance and foster strong, collaborative relationships with key vendors.
∎ Budgeting and Cost Management:
∎ Collaborate with the Finance department to create and manage budgets for procurement management.
∎ Monitor expenses, analyse spending patterns, and identify areas for cost optimization without compromising quality.
∎ General Administration:
∎ Provide strategic direction and guidance to the team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
∎ Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
∎ Collaborate with various departments to streamline procurement processes, promoting cross-functional coordination and teamwork.
∎ Implement policies and practices to enhance office productivity and employee well-being.
∎ Compliance and Documentation:
∎ Ensure compliance with procurement policies and legal requirements for procurement.
∎ Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, contracts, and related documentation.
∎ Team Leadership and Development:
∎ Lead, motivate, and mentor the team, fostering professional growth and development.
∎ Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
∎ Process Improvement:
∎ Continuously assess procurement processes, identifying opportunities for optimisation and efficiency.
∎ Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance overall organisational effectiveness.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 12 years of proven experience in procurement and/or supply chain management roles, with at least 8-10 years in a managerial or leadership role.
∎ Strong knowledge of procurement principles and procedures.
∎ Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
∎ Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams effectively.
∎ Sound financial acumen and budget management skills
