Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc in Civil/Mechanical/Marine/Naval Engineering from any reputed university

Experience Requirements:
∎ 12 to 15 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Dredging, Dredging Planning Monitoring, Implementation of Dredging Projects, Operation, Survey of Dredging work.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Group of Companies

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Experience in all disciplines of Dredging operations, this includes Hydraulic cutter head Dredger (mandatory) as of advance also Hopper dredger.
∎ Deep knowledge about different dredging activities (land reclamation, deep-river/sea dredging etc.)
∎ Responsible for conceptualization, implementation, coordination and follow up on all dredging projects.
∎ Ensure work and guarantee quality, efficacy and profitability of projects without compromising on environmental and safety issues.
∎ Responsible for subcontractors, suppliers, etc (stakeholder management).
∎ Develop project charter, work plan, monitor project implementation and project execution plan.
∎ Maintaining a smooth operation of 18'' & 20'' Cutter Suction Dredger, work boats, excavators and the other ancillary equipment.
∎ Ensuring the regular, periodic and critical maintenance works and regular consumable parts to be available according to necessity.
∎ Analyzing the pre/post dredging survey given by BIWTA and making a dredging plan accordingly.
∎ Monitoring and supervising the dredging operation for construction of the river channel and maintaining a particular depth within the stipulated deadline.
∎ Troubleshooting the mechanical and hydraulic problems that arise during operation.
∎ Confirming the daily progress of each dredger according to the target.
∎ Preparing and submitting tender document for BWDB and BIWTA for getting new works.
∎ Maintaining a liaison with BIWTA, CEGIS, Bangladesh Navy and other stakeholders.
∎ Any other activities assigned by the management from time to time.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 12 years and at least 5 years hands on experience as Operation Manager in a dredging related environment.
∎ Good working knowledge about MS Office program, MS Project and AUTOCAD.
∎ Strong leadership qualities.
∎ Ability to motivate others.
∎ Effective communication and people management skills.
∎ Good organization and accounting skills to control budgets and coordinate resources.
∎ A good problem solver who can work under pressure.
