Educational Requirements:
∎ Graduate/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics and/or Instrumentations Engineering from any recognized university/institute.
∎ Educational qualifications may be relaxed in cases of well experienced candidates working in instrument or electrical Systems for the Oil & Gas or Petro-Chemical industry.
∎ JDE/Oracle Training preferable.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ This position will be responsible to carry out all maintenance of industrial instrumentation and electrical devices in their specific facility to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of company operated onshore gas plant and field facilities within Bangladesh. Daily activities are performed to the highest standards while ensuring all activities conducted are in accordance with the Chevron Way and aligned with Process Safety Management.
∎ Initial Contract Duration: 01-June-2019 to 31-March-2020
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Perform or assist in troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, installation and overhaul of equipment such as, but not limited to fire pump packages, diesel/gas reciprocating generators, turbine driven generators, gas reciprocating/electric/turbine driven gas compressors, electric motors, motor control centers, process lighting systems, LV and MV power distribution systems, Power Management Systems (PMS), surge/lightning protection systems, cathodic protection, process control systems, PAGA systems, fire/gas detection systems and associated equipment for the safe and efficient operation of production facilities, pipeline, valve stations, metering stations and well head stations.
∎ Actively pursue knowledge of and experience with new equipment and facilities and improved technology.
∎ Carry out and record all preventive maintenance checks and report any abnormalities, taking immediate action by recording or correcting when necessary.
∎ Engage in troubleshooting activities when necessary and take actions, using own initiative along while following specific guidelines and procedures or directions from supervisor.
∎ Carry out all modifications, additions and installations of new equipment or facilities as required.
∎ Practice teamwork within own work group and with other groups at facility by assisting others in troubleshooting, PM activities and other projects to improve overall work efficiency and personnel
∎ Set a personal example in safety, workmanship, punctuality, good housekeeping and positive work ethic for all subordinates and coworkers.
∎ Understand fully and implement the company's Health, Environmental Protection and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring that all subordinates and co-workers strictly observe and comply with all company safety regulations.
∎ Ensure continuous improvement in all areas of craft-related knowledge and skills, application of the highest standard of operational safety.
∎ Contribute ideas to improve overall operational efficiency and safety.
∎ Maintain all tools and equipment according to company and manufacturer's guidelines.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Maintenance background in I&E would be advantageous.
∎ Advanced user of Microsoft applications like Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
∎ Excellent analytical, diagnostic, investigative and troubleshooting skills as well as report writing and document management skills.
∎ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English & Bangla.
∎ The successful candidate (Staff Contractor) shall be deployed in Multinational Company, our client engaged in Oil & Gas sector in Bangladesh.
Salary: Negotiable
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ 14 days on/ 14 days off basis.
∎ Yearly two annual allowance/bonus.
