Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Prepare detailed designs for furniture manufacturing.
∎ Communicate and consult with customers/clients to understand their needs and requirements.
∎ Create modular furniture designs using the company’s product catalog.
∎ Develop detailed furniture designs and specifications.
∎ Operate AutoCAD for design and detailing.
∎ Perform cost estimation and analysis for furniture products, ensuring accuracy and profitability.
∎ Collaborate with the sales and production teams to align designs with budget constraints.
∎ Provide cost-effective design solutions without compromising quality.
∎ Monitor material costs and suggest alternatives to optimize pricing.
∎ Job Context: We are looking for a skilled Furniture Designer to develop functional, cost-effective designs based on client needs. The candidate must have a strong ability to understand design drawings and prepare accurate costing these are top priorities. Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of modular furniture are essential. Must be able to work closely with the production team and operate effectively in a factory environment.
