Job Context:
∎ The main responsibility will be to extinguish fires, as well as respond to accidents and emergencies. Other duties include delivering emergency medical care, performing property inspections, and participating in regular fire drills.
∎ To exceed in this challenging role, all candidates should have the desire to help others to save lives and protecting property. In addition to the above, the successful candidate will also demonstrate outstanding stamina and physical health.
∎ Job location: Payra, Patuakhali
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Perform fire suppression activities utilizing firefighting equipment techniques
∎ Perform rescue, salvage overhaul operations
∎ Administer first aid and/or CPR
∎ Perform housekeeping, building maintenance grounds keeping duties
∎ Inspect assigned apparatus equipment; cleaning; performing routine maintenance on same
∎ Assist in preparing pre-fire plans, completing reports, providing training
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 18 years
∎ Respond to all emergency calls and followed safety protocols
∎ Preform fire prevention and fire suppression duties as needed
∎ Used sound judgment and analytical thinking skills to respond to emergency situations
∎ Handled high risk situations with a sense of calm and careful thought
∎ Maintained department equipment and vehicles
∎ Worked collaboratively with team members
∎ Mentor and train new firefighters and supervised them during emergency responses
∎ Firemanship Certification from Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defense Department
∎ A minimum of 2 years full-time firefighting experience
∎ Outstanding physical strength and stamina
∎ Excellent knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques. Certification from Bangladesh Red Crescent Society will be preferred.
∎ Valid Heavy Driving License (applicable only for firetruck Drivers)
