Experience:
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any reputed institution.
Training: Must have 06 (Six) months training from FSCD- Fire Service & Civil Defense.
Strong understanding of fire safety systems and emergency response procedures.
Minimum 4-5 years in fire safety management, ideally in RMG or textile sector.
Familiarity with RSC fire safety protocols and Bangladesh Fire Service regulations.
Hands-on experience working with RSC requirements.
Strong understanding of NFPA, BNBC, Bangladesh Labor Act-2006, and EPZ Labor Act-2019.
Ability to lead and coordinate fire safety teams.
Candidates with prior experience in EPZ (Export Processing Zone) factories will be given preference.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Fire Safety Officer to oversee fire prevention, protection, and emergency response systems in our garments manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with the RSC, strong knowledge of fire safety codes and labor laws, and a proven track record working in EPZ based facility.
Job Responsibilities:
Organize fire drills, evacuation plans, and emergency response training for staff.
Maintain and inspect fire safety equipment (extinguishers, alarms, hydrants, sprinklers) and ensure readiness.
Conduct regular fire risk assessments and audits across the facility.
Develop, implement, and monitor fire safety protocols in compliance with RSC standards.
Ensure compliance with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), BNBC (Bangladesh National Building Code), Bangladesh Labor Act, and EPZ Labor Act.
Collaborate with the functional departments to ensure adherence to RSC fire safety protocols.
Liaise with local fire departments and regulatory bodies for inspections and certifications.
Prepare and submit fire safety reports, incident logs, and compliance documentation.
Report any fire hazards or safety violations to management and recommend corrective actions.
Monitor and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in high-risk areas.
Maintain and update fire safety documentation, including risk assessments and compliance checklists.
Ensure proper signage and accessibility of emergency exits and fire escape routes.
Support factory management in achieving sustainability and safety goals.
