Job Context:
∎ VERC in partnership with unicef is going to implement a title project Provide Technical Assistance to DPHE for Strengthening Community Capacity and Arsenic Mitigation Initiatives to Ensure Drinking Water Safety for All in Cumilla district. Village Education Resource Center is a voluntary organization registered with the NGOAB (Reg-133), MRA (Reg-01275-00523-00017) and Social Welfare department (Reg-Da-02282). Recruitment against the following project position will be made for implementation of project interventions
∎ Project Location: Cumilla (Muradnagar and Monoharganj) and Munshigonj( Gazira)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Project Engineer is responsible in designing and drawing, BoQ, planning and managing rural small-scale infrastructure, installation of WatSan facilities, proper operation and maintenance.
∎ Assist in planning and organizing project hardware intervention, guide project staff and community on hardware implementation;
∎ lead all aspects of implementation of structural activities;
∎ Ensure quality of structural work as per project requirements as well as water quality and environmental issues related to hardware installation;
∎ Ensure climate resilient technology, quality of materials and workmanship,
∎ Assist project team in planning and implementation of the project activities with due procedure,
∎ Liaison with DPHE, DPHE water quality Lab, LGIs, ITN BUET and unicef focal as per need.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ At least 5 years working experiences in WASH
∎ Excellent computer skills in MS Office package with AutoCAD.
∎ Willing to drive Motorcycle and should have valid driving license.
∎ Knowledge about Water quality testing of different parameter by uses field kit
∎ Expertise on alternatives water technologies for severe Arsenic contaminated areas
∎ Capacity building of stakeholders including project staffs and community;
∎ Reporting and documentation of the respective project.
∎ Keeping the project documents spicily heard ware related document
∎ Good at computer applications of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and using e-mail.
∎ Should have valid driving license and be willing to drive motorcycles.
∎ Candidate Attitude regarding Child Safe Guard, Gender/PSEA & others policies and Code of conduct of the organization
∎ Note: In case of candidates with more experience; age limit and educational qualification would be relaxed. Women and persons with special needs are equally eligible to apply for the said post.
Salary: Tk. 33000 - 35000 (Monthly)
