Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist in coordinating and monitoring of the Solar Energy implementation works.
∎ Create or interpret the solar panel installation plans, mapping out the steps of the installation where all the components will be installed.
∎ Install, inspect, maintain and repair solar systems, including the solar panel, lights, batteries, controllers, fans or support structure.
∎ Assemble solar modules, panels, lights, batteries, or support structures as for solar streetlight, solar mini-grid, solar nano-grid or any other solar system.
∎ Install solar energy systems in accordance with codes and standards using drawings, schematics, and instructions.
∎ Perform routine solar system maintenance on modules, arrays, batteries, power conditioning equipment, safety systems, structural systems or balance of systems equipment.
∎ Assess electrical installation for proper wiring, polarity, grounding, or integrity of terminations.
∎ Determine appropriate sizes, ratings, and locations for all system overcurrent devices, disconnect devices, grounding equipment, and surge suppression equipment.
∎ Examine designs to determine current requirements for all parts of the solar system electrical circuit.
∎ Measure and analyze system performance and operating parameters to assess operating condition of systems or equipment.
∎ Test operating voltages to ensure operation within acceptable limits for power conditioning equipment, such as inverters and controllers.
∎ Visually inspect and test photovoltaic (PV) modules or systems.
∎ Identify methods for laying out, orienting, and mounting modules or arrays to ensure efficient installation, electrical configuration, or system maintenance.
∎ Assess Lightning Arrester functionality and troubleshooting in a routine basis to keep Lightning Arrester operational.
∎ Maintain inventory of tools and supplies, stored in an organized manner.
∎ Maintain records of maintenance and repairs as directed by supervisor.
∎ Perform such other related duties as may be assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum three (03) years of experience in Solar energy project. Incumbents having technical/vocational training in maintenance with five (5) years of extensive experience in the relevant field will also be considered.
∎ Knowledge of mechanics and electricity, familiarity with Solar Street light operation and control.
∎ Knowledge on assembling, installation, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for Solar Street Lights, MiniGrid/NanoGrid or other system in compliance with site assessment and schematics.
∎ Knowledge on electrical work such as current checks for AC and DC system and experience working with electrical systems (e.g., understanding flow, wiring, outlets, etc.)
∎ Knowledge on Lightning Arrester system design and troubleshooting capacity.
∎ Required Competency:

Salary:
∎ Salary: Monthly gross salary for this position is BDT 77,350.17.
