∎ Field Attendant with Emerging Infections under the Infectious Diseases Division (Adv#213/2021)

∎ icddr,b invites applications from suitable candidates for the position of Field Attendant, USAID`s Alliance for Combating TB in Bangladesh with Programme for Emerging Infections under the Infectious Diseases Division. The appointment will be made on a short-term contractual service agreement (CSA) basis for 06 months which is renewable depending on the performance and availability of funds.
∎ Position description :
∎ The Alliance for Combating TB in Bangladesh project will develop a dynamic, strategic, and fresh approach to accelerate Bangladesh`s fight against TB. The solutions will be aimed at creating an environment aligned with the universal health coverage (UHC) vision and focused on defined priority areas - increased TB detection, decentralized DR-TB management, child TB, expanded prevention and others.
∎ The Field Attendants will report to the Assistant Programme Manager of Rangpur Division. The position holders will be responsible to screen TB patients from local district level hospitals and treatment centers with the objective of collecting relevant patient information and handing over reports within the guidelines of the project, organizational values, and principal. There will be 16 positions who will be based in different districts of Rangpur Division of Bangladesh (Dinajpur, Gaibandha, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari, Panchagarh, Rangpur, and Thakurgaon). The position may require frequent travel to all the field sites and field offices in Bangladesh.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Client Management:
∎ Understand and collect patient's information through Tab/Computer;
∎ Receive and maintain daily records of cash in and out;
∎ Download X-ray/test reports and distribute to the patients and keep proper documentation
∎ Maintain necessary registry book for patients;
∎ Check the household of TB patients;
∎ Maintain relationship with respective areas' medicine pharmacies;
∎ Other activities advised by the supervisor.
∎ Other Support:
∎ Operate a wide range of equipment including mobile, tab, computer, printer etc. and software like MS Word & Excel;
∎ Ensure proper maintenance of electronic devices as well as X-Ray machines and take responsibility for other staff in their absence.
Additional Requirements:
∎ inimum 1-year relevant experience, however candidates having experience working in TB screening will be given preference.
