Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations of the factory, ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently while meeting quality standards and deadlines.
∎ Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate factory staff, including production workers, supervisors, and administrative personnel. Foster a positive work environment and drive employee engagement.
∎ Resource Management: Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources, including materials, equipment, and labor. Ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize waste.
∎ Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality. Utilize lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies as appropriate.
∎ Administrative Duties: Handle administrative tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and reporting. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
∎ Health and Safety: Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any potential hazards.
∎ Quality Control: Monitor and enforce quality control procedures to maintain high standards of production. Address any quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
∎ Vendor and Supplier Management: Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers. Oversee procurement of materials and services, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
∎ Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present regular reports on factory performance, including production metrics, financial performance, and operational challenges. Maintain accurate records of all factory activities.
