Educational Requirements:
∎ HSC in Biology, HSC in Chemistry
∎ Certification as an Eye Bank Technician, Ophthalmic Technician or Tissue Bank Specialist is preferred.
∎ Experience with aseptic technique and medical terminology also preferred.
∎ Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.

Job Context:
∎ This job is under "Bangladesh Eyesight Foundation & BEH Eye Bank".
∎ The Eye Bank Assistant is responsible for Managing the office activities of eye bank. Organize recovering eye tissues needed for transplant and/or research. Documenting a donor physical and ocular assessment and conducting professional interactions with hospital staff, OPO and tissue bank staff, with donors` relatives patients and surgeons.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Performs surgical procedures to remove and prepare human corneal tissue for transplant and research.
∎ Coordinates the placement of approved tissue for transplants with surgeons.
∎ Coordinates referrals from other agencies for potential donors.
∎ Approaches families regarding the option of donation of corneal tissue for ransplantation.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 20 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required.

Salary: Tk. 10000 (Monthly)
