Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Science/Management or Diploma degree in civil engineering.
∎ A degree or certification in occupational health safety will be added advantage.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Monitor and inspect work activities for ensuring safe work practices are carried out in all work operations.
∎ Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment at the site.
∎ Conduct EHS/OHS training for workers and engineers as per plan.
∎ Train and carry out drills and exercises on how to manage emergency situations.
∎ Investigate all near miss, minor and major accidents within lead time. Follow-up and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
∎ Proactively receive and act on reports regarding safety concerns from workers within the construction site.
∎ Serve as a link between workers and top management when it comes to issues that have to do with safety and proper organization of the workplace.
∎ Take & promote safety initiatives.
∎ Any other task assigned by the SHL management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of 3 years work experience as a safety officer in a similar working environment
∎ Must have excellent communication skills.
∎ Must be good at documentation.
∎ Good command in MS Office program is required.
