Educational Requirements:
∎ Possession of a Diploma degree in a field related to construction or civil engineering.
∎ A degree or certification in occupational health safety will be added advantage.

Job Context:
∎ Department - Compliance Department

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supervise day-to-day activities within a particular construction workplace.
∎ Ensure that workers make use of necessary personal protective equipment where and when necessary.
∎ Conduct OHS training (induction & TBM) of employees and engineers.
∎ Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
∎ Investigate all near miss, minor and major accidents and challenge their causes.
∎ Take note of workers' safety concerns and immediately acts on them.
∎ Develop plans for emergency procedures with the consent of the site manager(s) of the workplace.
∎ Proactively receive and act on reports regarding safety concerns from workers within the construction site/workplace.
∎ Serve as a link between workers and top management when it comes to issues that have to do with safety and proper organization of the workplace.
∎ Promote safety initiatives.
∎ Any other task assigned by the SHL management.

∎ Must have excellent communication skills.
∎ Must be good at documentation.
∎ Good command in MS Office program is required.
∎ Work Experience: A minimum of 3 years work experience as a safety officer in a similar working environment
