Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Identify reliable suppliers and vendors for food items, beverages, kitchen equipment, and other necessary supplies
∎ Negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to optimize procurement costs while maintaining quality standards
∎ Place orders for inventory replenishment promptly to prevent stockouts and ensure uninterrupted restaurant operations
∎ Coordinate with the finance department to process invoices and ensure timely payment to suppliers
∎ Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed about industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new product offerings
∎ Maintain organized and efficient storage facilities to safeguard inventory and optimize space utilization
∎ Develop and implement inventory management procedures to track stock levels, monitor product expiry dates, and minimize wastage
∎ Supervise the receiving and inspection of deliveries to verify the quantity and quality of goods received
∎ Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards in the storage and handling of perishable and non-perishable items
∎ Conduct periodic stock audits and reconcile inventory records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures
∎ Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors through effective communication and negotiation
∎ Address any issues or concerns raised by suppliers promptly and resolve conflicts to maintain productive partnerships
∎ Evaluate supplier performance based on criteria such as reliability, quality of products, and responsiveness to feedback
∎ Collaborate with the management team to explore opportunities for strategic partnerships and cost-saving initiatives
