Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assess and minimize the environmental impact of road and highway construction projects through sustainable planning.
∎ Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, laws, and sustainability guidelines in roadway development.
∎ Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIA) and recommend mitigation strategies for air, water, and noise pollution.
∎ Develop eco-friendly solutions, such as green highways, noise barriers to protect natural habitats.
∎ Monitor and manage waste disposal, recycling, and material usage to promote sustainable construction practices.
∎ Collaborate with civil engineers, urban planners, and government agencies to integrate environmental considerations into project designs.
∎ Perform site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to environmental best practices with monthly report.
∎ Research and implement innovative technologies to reduce carbon footprints and improve highway sustainability.
