Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Monitoring daily production stoppages, reworks, and field complaints and coordinating solutions with suppliers.
∎ Inspecting components daily and executing on-site quality application plans.
∎ Creating quality scorecards by monitoring supplier PPM and return rates with the Supplier Assessment and Development department.
∎ Planning and conducting supplier audits and development activities annually.
∎ Managing new supplier on boarding processes with the Supplier Assessment and Development team.
∎ Preparing inspection instructions for materials and components and determining dynamic sampling frequencies.
∎ Ensuring compliance with Arçelik standards and environmental regulations for materials and chemicals.
∎ Planning and implementing test systems, machinery investments, and laboratory requirements.
∎ Managing Six Sigma projects, performing measurement capability assessments, and defining critical Initial Process Capability values.
∎ Researching and investing in material control equipment per evolving standards.
∎ Participating in new product design phases to preempt quality issues and improve perceived quality.
∎ Ensuring adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 14064-1 standards in all activities.
∎ Participating in internal audits and maintaining compliance with OHS regulations and procedures.

∎ Role Overview: The Engineer – Material & Component Quality is ensuring the quality of incoming components, managing supplier performance, and enhancing product quality through inspections, audits, and improvement initiatives.Job Description: Conducting root cause analyses of defects in incoming components and addressing corrective and preventive actions with suppliers.
