Job Responsibilities:
∎ Establishing, controlling, and improving existing injection molding & blow molding, decorating, and assembly processes and their effective transfer through the 24 hour operation.
∎ Managing new mold and mold change sampling including all documentation. Validating process development efforts and interaction with part quality.
∎ To know HDPE, PP, PVC, PETG measurement to produce jerry can. (20 ltr, 30 ltr, 50 ltr)
∎ Communicating closely with management team members regarding all aspects of process control.
∎ Help and coach Shift In-charge on process control and troubleshooting.
∎ Adhering to quality system requirements and a focus on continuous improvement in relationship to our process set-ups and their maintenance.
∎ Responsible for reductions in energy consumption.
∎ Responsible for maintaining a high level of motivation.
∎ Responsible for maintaining ISO standards in the conversion department.
∎ Maintains an open line of communication with all members of the workforce.
∎ Work with production control and QC to insure availability of high quality molded parts as needed.
∎ Set specifications for all molding materials. Monitor these materials to make certain the specifications are met, and that the materials are applied properly in the molding systems.
∎ Develop and manage process specifications for all molder/mold combinations in the plant. Communicate these specifications to the technicians and supervisors.
∎ Develop techniques for monitoring the molding process (melt temperature measurement, SPC, etc.) that will enhance quality and reduce non-conforming product.
∎ Monitor molding manufacturing processes and implement cost and quality improvements.
∎ Develop and monitor PM procedures for the molding equipment.
∎ Development and maintenance of PM procedures (cleaning, restoring wear, storage, etc.) for all molds.
∎ Define equipment improvements that will enhance the molding processes. Prepare presentations to management to gain approval for the resources required to make these improvements.
∎ Provide technical input to Engineering Department in new mold design and modifications.
∎ Provide training to mold technicians as needed.
∎ Minimize molding waste through set up reduction, scrap reduction, improved material and machine utilization.
∎ Perform other tasks / projects as necessary to aid the company policy.
