∎ NESL now invites applications from competent candidates for the post of EN028. Engineer I for employment with our prospective clients working in oil and gas industry.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ This position is responsible for engineering practices to support the Structural Engineering Department on both project related matters and compliance matters.
∎ Essential functions:
∎ Researches specific structural support information assigned to them to be included in upper level proposals, specifications and applications.
∎ Co-operate and coordinate with third parties, project disciplines and construction site estimating, reporting and tracking.
∎ Using quality tools calculates loads and stresses on structures, investigates the strength of foundations and determines the safety of structure and makes recommendations.
∎ Provide support to teams working on performance, cost reduction and quality initiatives as assigned.
∎ Develops and maintains Company’s standards and best practices, design manuals or other documentation to enhance profitability, safety and productivity.
∎ Works on, or with, Task Forces assigned to investigate incidents and/or solve specific problems.
∎ Perform cost analyses as appropriate.
∎ Remain abreast of current technological progress to ensure the Company’s products remain marketable and competitive.
∎ Abide by Company policies and procedures.
∎ Other duties and special projects as assigned.
∎ Ensure that personal behaviors and work practices are in line with Company safety standards.
∎ Responsible for safety of self and others in the vicinity to include, but not limited to, employees, vendors and guests.
∎ Provide visible leadership engagement, be aware of housekeeping and take additional safety precautions to ensure no one is put at risk.
∎ Do not take short cuts or unnecessary risks and actively work with others to ensure they take due care and do notput themselves or others at risk.
∎ Ensure all incidents are reported and appropriately investigated in accordance with Company procedure.
∎ As needed, seek advice from HSE representative.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Should have at least 2 years of work experience specifically in the petrochemical business.
∎ Must have in detailed structural design.
∎ Must have knowledge using AutoCAD, Inventor or other 3D CAD design soft ware.
∎ Must have knowledge of codes and standards in ASME, ASTM, ABS, API, AWS, ASHRAE and other relatedindustries.
∎ Must be a detail oriented, self-starter and able to work with little supervision while maintaining goals/tasks.
∎ Must have good PC skills to include all MS Off ice products.
∎ Must have good written and verbal communication skills and able to eff ectively communicate with staff ,management, customers and vendors. Being multi-lingual is preferred.
∎ Must possess sound reasoning skills and have the ability to follow directions.
