∎ NESL now invites applications from competent candidates for the post of Electrical Quality Technician for employment with one of our prospective clients working to set up a grid-tied solar power plant in Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work under quality control supervisor/manager to perform inspection on high and low voltage electrical materials, components, and equipment in accordance with the applicable code and specifications of the project. Such inspections shall include but not be limited to: dimensional inspections, review of material test reports, visual inspections, electrical tests, calibration of measuring and test equipment, etc.
∎ Work with solar preconstruction and estimating teams to evaluate systems and provide feedback throughout the course of the project.
∎ Oversee installations of electrical equipment, cables laying, cable jointing, and cathodic protection; and recommend improvement and solutions as and when needed.
∎ Assist in testing and inspection of all switchgears and switchboards to applicable standards.
∎ Use multi-meter and electrical theory to verify power readings and circuit design to ensure proper wiring and operations.
∎ Use specialized tools and software to aid in testing electrical assemblies when required.
∎ Assist in electrical audits, maintain and input records or reports related to testing/inspecting activities.
∎ Ensure compliance with approved drawings, manufacturer specifications, and site-specific quality requirements.
∎ Assist project team in meeting warranty conditions and preparing warranty claims.
∎ Participate in all testing activities related to electrical installations, commissioning, and evaluation of quality incidents and reporting.
∎ Perform ad-hoc duties assigned by the supervisor.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role in medium or large scale power generation and distribution projects; experience in renewable energy will be advantageous.
∎ Knowledge of power distribution components (breakers, relays, communicating devices) is required.
∎ Good working of latest electrical safety codes.
∎ Strong measuring, testing, troubleshooting and error analyzing skills.
∎ Physical fitness to work outdoors, perform in a fast paced environment.

Salary: Negotiable
