Responsibilities & Context:

1. Supervise, install, operate, and maintain all electrical systems and equipment within the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.

2. Ensure uninterrupted power supply through proper operation and maintenance of HT/LT systems, transformers, generators, substations, distribution panels, UPS, and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS).

3. Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of all electrical equipment in accordance with the approved maintenance schedule.

4. Monitor and maintain electrical utilities, including power distribution, lighting systems, earthing, lightning protection, and emergency power systems.

5. Coordinate with Production, Engineering, HVAC, Utility, Validation, QA, and EHS departments to ensure smooth plant operations.

6. Review electrical drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), load calculations, shop drawings, and technical specifications for new projects and modifications.

7. Supervise electrical installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance verification of new equipment and production lines.

8. Ensure compliance with GMP, cGMP, WHO, ISO, BNBC, IEC, NFPA, and other applicable electrical safety standards and regulatory requirements.

9. Conduct routine inspection and condition monitoring of electrical equipment to identify faults and minimize downtime.

10. Prepare maintenance reports, breakdown analysis, electrical logs, calibration records, and other engineering documentation.

11. Manage electrical contractors, technicians, manpower, spare parts, and maintenance materials efficiently.

12. Prepare electrical load schedules, energy consumption reports, and implement energy-saving initiatives.

13. Support qualification, validation, FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, and PQ activities for electrical systems and utility equipment.

14. Ensure safe work practices by implementing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Permit to Work (PTW), and other electrical safety procedures.

15. Participate in engineering projects involving expansion, renovation, installation, and commissioning of pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.

16. Prepare technical specifications, BOQ, cost estimates, and budgets for electrical projects and maintenance activities.

17. Troubleshoot electrical faults in production machines, HVAC systems, water treatment systems, air compressors, boilers, chillers, and other utility equipment.

18. Maintain compliance with all company policies, including Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Child Safeguarding, Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), Anti-Money Laundering, Whistle Blowing, and Code of Conduct.

19. Perform any other engineering duties assigned by management.

20. Prepare, review, and update electrical drawings in accordance with project and GMP requirements.
