Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field from an accredited academic institution plus three years relevant experience
∎ School diploma plus five years of relevant experience

Job Context:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist in the implementation of the electrical and mechanical works for the construction and/or rehabilitation of health facilities, community buildings and site development projects in accordance with the instruction of the National Project Officer-Infrastructure.
∎ Assist on technical aspects during the design and implementation phase to choose the type and quality of electrical and mechanical materials, equipment to be used in the project.
∎ Assist to ensure that require standards and best practices are met to assure health and safety standards across all sustainable energy and energy efficient technologies.
∎ Carry out field survey, collecting data for the need of energy and relevant equipment and assist to contribute to the design of all sustainable energy activities.
∎ Assist on preparing and validating all required tender documents, specification and design code related to Electrical items including equipment, BOQs related to the project including the general requirement, calculation note needed to any design requirement related to Electrical trade.
∎ Contribute to the documentation of the project development including monitoring, testing, trouble shooting, lessons learned, and solutions applied to assure institutional knowledge development
∎ Carry out regular field visits to project sites to monitor electrical and mechanical works in accordance with the work plan and monitor day-to-day activity progress, and report quality and progress.
∎ Monitor and verify the works to ensure the works are carried out in accordance with the technical specifications and assist National Project Officer to resolve electrical and mechanical related matters with vendors groups, consultants, and contractors, notify in a timely manner of any change request pertinent.
∎ Assist National Project Officer to provide technical guidance and instructions to electrical and mechanical contractors including but not limited to their Site Technical staff, technicians, and skilled labors.
∎ Under the guidance and supervision of National Project Officer, liaise with local government agencies and relevant stakeholders to coordinate project implementation.
∎ Able to travel to multiple project locations as required.
∎ Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Relevant professional experience in projects for the implementation of electrical and mechanical project and working with local communities including corporations.
∎ Experience of solar or sustainable energy design and implementation is an advantage.
∎ Experience with International Organizations and/or NGOs an advantage
∎ Experience in camp rehabilitation and site development, cash-for-work beneficiaries an advantage.
∎ Experience in contract administration/ quantity surveying is a plus.
∎ Experience with common engineering-related software is / Knowledge of Auto Cad for electrical design s is a plus.
∎ Knowledge in local construction materials and technologies is required.
∎ Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, building products and best practices related to project.
∎ Fluency in both Bangla & English is required (oral and written)
∎ Working knowledge of Rohingya language is an advantage.

Salary:
∎ Monthly gross salary for this position is BDT 96,687.92.
