Job Context:
∎ We are looking for a skilled Electrical and Networking Technologist to undertake tasks of network development and maintenance. You will be responsible for designing the electric equipment and networking function in ways that optimize its performance.
∎ The ideal candidate will be a competent individual with great passion for Electrical and Networking Technologist. An analytical mindset will be essential for effective troubleshooting and improving the electrical functions on networking work.
∎ The goal is to create and sustain a well-functioning and reliable network to ensure the unobtrusive operation of business.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Execute plans of electrical and network wiring for well-functioning network device, intercom and other electrical systems
∎ Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems
∎ Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)
∎ Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
∎ Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.
∎ Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units
∎ Design and install well-functioning computer networks, connections and cabling
∎ Perform troubleshooting to system failures and identify bottlenecks to ensure long term efficiency of network
∎ Inspect LAN infrastructure and fix minor or major problems/bugs
∎ Test and configure software and maintain and repair hardware and peripheral devices
∎ Evaluate network performance and find ways of improvement
∎ Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their own work
∎ Provide electrical and networking customer support, answer customer technical questions and assist in resolving customer needs
∎ Assist in training of testers on the production floor and set up test stations and assist in testing of production runs
