• Ability to develop and manage schedule of staff transportation.

• Democracy International (DI) is seeking to hire a Driver for the USAID funded Responsive Local Governance (RLG) Activity in Bangladesh. The goal of the Activity is catalyzing change within Bangladesh’s local governance system necessitates investment to strengthen Local Elected Government Institutions (LEGI) capacity, improve civil society and citizen participation in governance structures, and bolster multisectoral coordination for quality service delivery. The specific objective of this Activity is to develop LEGIs as an effective, responsive, inclusive, and accountable institution to address social issues and provide quality basic services to the most marginalized. This is a full-time position based in Rangpur. This position is only open to the citizens of Bangladesh.

Essential Job Duties:

• Drive vehicle for official travel;

• Maintain high standard of service to both internal and external official staff and guests;

• Ensure punctuality and safe transport by observing the road and traffic laws and regulations of Liberia;

• Ensure that vehicle is kept clean, tidy, and working good condition at all times;

• Ensure vehicle repairs are carried out properly by official specifications;

• Keep records in car logbook and submit to field office staff regularly as required;

• Monitor day-to-day maintenance checks: oil, water, battery, breaks, and tires, etc.; and

• Provide assistance as needed, including but not limited to: delivering goods, correspondence, packages, and official documents as requested.

Reporting:

• This position reports to the Finance and Operations Officer.
