∎ JSC, SSC, HSC, Diploma in Engineering, Bachelor degree in any discipline
∎ Preferred Professional Certification: Driving license
∎ 5 to 10 year(s)
∎ All drivers are to have completed armored/defensive driving training and First Aid training.
∎ No road movement is allowed outside Dhaka City limits during hours of darkness (slight seasonal variation in day/dark hours).
∎ Drivers are to ensure that each passenger is wearing a seatbelt. If refusal by the passenger(s), the vehicle should not move until all passengers are wearing seatbelts.
∎ Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip.
∎ Pick up clients from the place and at the time they’ve requested.
∎ Must not exceed the maximum hours permitted by the Bank to drive vehicles within a twenty-four (24) hour period including non-stop driving time ensuring adequate breaks.
∎ Collect payments and issue receipts.
∎ Assist staff with loading and unloading their luggage.
∎ Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up to date on road conditions.
∎ Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed.
∎ Answer clients’ questions about the area and local places of interest.
∎ Ensure the car seats are clean and comfortable for all riders.
∎ Schedule regular car service appointments and report any issues.
∎ Book car wash and detailing services to maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the car.
∎ Age 25 to 45 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Be able to effectively understand and carry out rules, orders, and instructions
∎ High school or equivalent diploma or comparable experience, literate and able to understand English
∎ Must have good geographical knowledge of the cities assigned
∎ All licensed drivers must be by the appropriate Government entity (Bangladesh Road Transport Authority) to operate the class of motor vehicle that they will be driving under the terms of the contract, with certification of good driving record or equivalent reference check.
∎ Drivers must have a minimum of five (5) years driving experience as a chauffeur or five (5) years’ experience as a driver in commerce, public transportation or similar background. Experience in driving services with international organizations is desirable.
∎ Remain not at fault for a road accident within the previous three (3) years
∎ Must not smoke or use any tobacco while driving.
∎ Must not be under the influence of alcohol, illegal drug or any other substance with the potential to affect driving ability at any time during duty, nor allow any of the passengers to do the same.
∎ Must not eat or drink while driving.
∎ Must not have distracting conversation or loud music, use cellular phone including hands-free devices (if making or receiving an emergency call, must park the vehicle), unnecessary conversations with staff. Permitted conversation includes giving safety information/instructions, expressing opinions on road conditions, etc.
∎ Must be courteous with service-oriented attitude and dressed in appropriate attire.
∎ Must maintain a courteous and service-oriented attitude.
∎ Medical Requirement:
∎ Possess sound physical, stamina and health to perform duties assigned by the Contractor.
∎ Employees must be healthy, free from illegal drugs, alcohol and all communicable diseases, as proven by periodical medical exams, performed by a licensed local practitioner.
∎ Contractor employees must be medically fit for driving with acceptable vision as per statutory laws and have no permanent disability which can affect driving.
