Job Context:
∎ Location: Swisscontact Bangladesh, Baridhara,Dhaka
∎ Duration: Initial contract is for 1 year. Renewable based on performance and availability of budget
∎ Reports to: Officer - Finance & Admin, BMMDP, Swisscontact Bangladesh

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Operates assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, assists passengers to get in and out of the vehicle and other service as needed.
∎ Maintains defensive driving and adhere to the traffic and transport rules and regulations of Bangladesh Government.
∎ Keeps the assigned vehicle(s) clean inside and outside.
∎ Employ efficient driving plans to use the routes with minimum traffic and keeps updated about the overall circumstances in and around the area to visit.
∎ Maintains accurate, up-to-date records on journey record sheets, vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, incident reports, accident reports, vehicle condition reports and other records that are required from administration.
∎ Performs minor maintenance tasks on assigned vehicle(s) as required.
∎ Fuels the assigned vehicle(s).
∎ Coordinates the schedule for major or periodic vehicle maintenance with administration to minimize service interruptions
∎ Support the tasks of other team members
∎ Any other task(s) mutually agreed by the supervisor and employee
∎ The incumbent may be, at times, required to perform duties that are beyond the scope of the job description given above. This will be informed to the incumbent in time and the time devoted to such activities will be taken into consideration in assessing performance under the job description defined above

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 years of driving experience; preferably in NGO and/or INGO
∎ Valid driving license in Bangladesh.
∎ Ability to drive vehicle safely and appropriately,
∎ Ability to read, understand and adhere to the rules and regulations of the traffic and transit of Bangladesh Government;
∎ Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; basic conversational and written knowledge of English is preferred;
∎ Ability to prepare concise and accurate records and reports;
∎ Extensive knowledge of the operations and features of assigned vehicle(s);
∎ Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs;
∎ Ability to perform minor vehicle repairs;
∎ Skilled in reasoning skills to interpret policies and procedures, maps and route directions and
∎ Ability to administer the essential First Aid
∎ There may be field visits for this position; as such, it is expected that the incumbent is willing and able to take part in field visits as and when needed and sometimes within short notice.
