∎ NESL now invites applications from competent candidates for the post of Directional Driller (DD) for employment with our prospective clients working in oil and gas industry.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Good understanding and can perform full scope of directional drilling by using Halliburton COMPASS and Insite drilling software.
∎ Skilled in directional drilling with mud motor, tool face control and MWD. Know how to measure toolface offset on the rig floor and cross check with the MWD.
∎ Understand and aware of Anti-collision, project ahead to ensure C-C distance and SF is well above the active Anti-collision policies.
∎ Understand all drilling parameters and the operating limits for BHA. Supervise the drilling operation by recommending the best optimized drilling parameters for each hole section.
∎ Understand and familiar with MWD the survey instrument, realtime surveys and positional uncertainty applicable for the survey tool type.
∎ Understand and know how to read well plans. Project ahead and re-plan the well if well trajectory deviates from the plan.
∎ Understand how to set up magnetic and geodetic reference in COMPASS software.
∎ Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English language.
∎ Know how to work with basic MS office software (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.
