Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering from any public university
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 15 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
construction companies, Developers, Real estate companies
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Oversee and direct the construction projects from conception to completion
∎ Prepare budget estimates of the projects and report on cost tracking
∎ Formulate an effective schedule for the construction plans and monitor construction productivity and schedule performance
∎ Review the engineering and architectural drawings for ensuring that all regulations and specifications are being followed
∎ Keep track of inventory, tools and equipment. Determine the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower needed. Ensure supplies & equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule
∎ Coordinate with architecture & engineering consultants for efficient and smooth functioning of projects
∎ Prepare tender documents to submit at Govt., Semi-Govt. and private tenders through e-GP system
∎ Provide technical support to the Project Managers
∎ Investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance. Provide recommendations and institute measures for improvement
∎ Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote safety culture among the ranks throughout the Company.
∎ Ensure compliance with building codes and other regulations
∎ Analyse, evaluate, manage and mitigate risks
∎ Negotiate with external vendors on contract agreements
∎ Arrange and execute training sessions for engineers & project members
∎ Verify the bills of contractors and overtime
∎ Keep the management aware of the progress of construction projects and prepare progress reports regularly
∎ Handle any environmental or local community issues that may come up during the projects
∎ Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out
∎ Perform any other tasks assigned by the management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Expertise in construction management, building management, project management, engineering surveying
∎ Sound knowledge to understand the construction site drawings like Structural, Architectural, Plumbing and Electrical
∎ Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Auto Cad and exposure to schedule software
∎ Strong leadership skill
