Educational Requirements:
∎ MBA in Supply Chain Management/ Finance/ Banking from any reputed University of Bangladesh

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Commercial, Export/ Import through L/C, Foreign procurement, International Sourcing, Supply Chain Planning

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Inquire and evaluate potential suppliers, and compare and evaluate their offers.
∎ Confirm Proforma Invoice with proper descriptions and HS Code, apply to the bank in proper ways, collect draft LC, send to suppliers, draft correction under banking laws and import policy, requesting bank to transmit LC and send acknowledgement copy to suppliers accordingly through email.
∎ Maintain effective liaison with suppliers, banks, shipping lines, forwarding agents and other organizations in relation to import documentation for efficient operations.
∎ Check import documents are as per LC terms, raise discrepancies (if any), and arrange acceptance / payment.
∎ Supervise customs clearance process such as customs assessment and customs duty; and ensure minimum misc. costs, as per management approval.
∎ Arrange UPAS and LC confirmation to overseas banks and vendors.
∎ Supervise bulk vessel discharging and lighter vessel discharging, checking SOF, lay time, and to settle demurrage or dispatch.
∎ Handle import permit for grains, oilseeds and other agricultural products and NOC for additives, chemicals, etc.
