Commercial, Export/ Import through L/C
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Garments
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for handling all type of import related matters.
∎ Maintain liaison with merchandising and other related departments on import issue.
∎ Contact with shipping line, suppliers and indenters to know vessel position.
∎ Hand over the shipping docs, L/C and related docs and monitor the status of customs assessment , port and agent charge for clearing the merchandise.
∎ Checking and finalization of submitted demand of C&F agent for duties, taxes, port charges, agent charges, and other payment.
∎ Regular checking with factory concern for checking stock position, and quality of newly received raw materials, chemicals, machinery, spares etc.. If found any defects or loss of imported goods then claim from the concerned party for settlement of the incurred loss.
∎ Claim for marine or fire damage if occurred.
∎ Contact with unit head or Govt. bodies or bankers for collection of transactions supporting, evidence of vouchers, SRO's circular, polices in order to follow up imposed rules and law. Assist to settle the quarries, demand and renewal of import related licenses and certificates.
∎ Vast knowledge on all activities of Customs, BGMEA, BOI, Bank and Custom House related to import.
∎ Finalization of C&F agents bill, insurance premium bill, maintain record of L/C files and costing.
∎ Performs archiving of customs docs based on legal requirements.
∎ Successfully handling import clearance, customs and documentation to in house the goods on time.
∎ Ensure all logistical activities of import timely in house .
∎ To keep constant contact with foreign suppliers, shippers, and local agents to have updated information and current status of the consignment.
∎ Must have sound knowledge regarding bill of lading and other shipping docs and UCPDC.
∎ Payment follow up with bank for import.
∎ Bank to bank docs endorsement non-nego/original.
∎ Lead a large team and able to increase workplace efficiency.
∎ Any other assignment given by the mgt.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 52 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Should have comprehensive knowledge on Commercial & Import related activities.
∎ Need to communicate with bank, shipper/suppliers, shipping line, forwarder, C&F agent, customs and transport for smooth and timely operations of import activities.
∎ Adequate experience to manage job independently and with a team.
∎ Sound computer knowledge and use of MS Office.
