∎ NESL now invites applications from competent candidates for the post of Coring Engineer for employment with our prospective clients working in oil and gas industry.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist during pre-planning stages as required.
∎ Reviews recommendations and procedures with Coring Coordinator / Senior Field Technician.
∎ Reviews equipment list.4. Checks equipment on site prior to job and ensure that preservation & packaging equipment is functioning safely.
∎ Undertakes JSA (Job Safety Assessment) involving Company man, rig personnel, well site geologist and core handling team. Ensures agreement and sign off JSA forms. Where there is a comparable contractor system i.e. Transocean, we would align the existing contractor system. Participates in installation hazard observation monitoring.
∎ Guides rig crew during core lay down process to minimize potential for core damage.
∎ Providing best guidance and conformance to core preservation, handling & packaging procedures.
∎ Complies on job coring report, core preservation summary.
∎ Operates core gamma logger. Provides report to well site geologist in scale required by geologist.
∎ Works with core processing team for cutting the tubes, operates the core saw. Assist with core stowing.
∎ Ensures all coring equipment (and interface equipment) remains safe and serviceable.
∎ On completion of job ensures equipment is gathered ready for shipment, communicates with materials supervisor.
∎ Assists with coring report and job ticket

∎ Age at least 30 years
