Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS) in Physical Medicine
∎ The candidate must have Diploma in Blood Serology & Transfusion (BDS&T) from any reputed Institution.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)

Job Context:
∎ TotiCell is a newly established world class regenerative healthcare center in Bangladesh committed to offer the best practice of advanced Regenerative Medicine (RM) aiming to improve the quality of life through Stem Cell & Gene Therapy. We apply cells & cell-based products for regenerative therapy at its best conditions at our Cell Culture Laboratory & Day-care Clinic which is equipped with cGMP laboratory, Quality Control and ultra-low temperature Cryo-banking Facility to facilitate demanding medical care in patients with terminal illnesses.
∎ Currently we are looking for talented and highly motivated “Consultant-Blood Serology & Transfusion” to join our dynamic team at TotiCell Ltd and DMFR Molecular Lab & Diagnostics also. The successful candidates will have in-depth knowledge and skills on Transfusion Medicine.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Input into policies/procedures for the appropriate investigation of transfusion-transmitted infections (TTIs) and monitoring and reporting of TTIs.
∎ Perform routine donor evaluation and monitoring, including physical examinations and review of periodic laboratory testing.
∎ Ensuring appropriate counselling, advice and referral for marker-positive donors and policies/procedures for handling donors with false-positive virology markers.
∎ Development of policies and procedures for the safe and effective use of blood.
∎ Supervision of look-back exercises at a local level.
∎ Diagnostic reference laboratories Setting standards for laboratory service provided and ensuring these are met.
∎ Clinical reporting and, as required, advising on referred samples.
∎ Development of clinical policies relating to the investigation and support of related clinical conditions.
∎ Management of phenotype panels and provision of cells.
∎ Responsibile for clinical input into development and implementation of production of new components.
∎ Ensure that high standards of transfusion practice are achieved and maintained.
∎ Participation in the activities of the regional and hospital transfusion committees.
∎ Handling potential litigation at a local level, and national level if applicable.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Should have good knowledge on Blood Serology & Blood Transfusion.
∎ Peripheral blood stem cell collection.
∎ Should have sound knowledge on platelet apheresis, therapeutic plasma exchange, platelet rich plasma therapy (PRP), blood grouping, cross matching etc.
∎ Proactive, self-motivated, self-directed.
