Job Context:
∎ FH Association (a Christian, relief & development organization) wants to fill one (1) Construction Supervisor position and therefore, inviting applications from eligible candidates.
∎ The Construction Supervisor provides invaluable support to FH Program grants activities by leading the construction work of houses, toilets, tube-wells, deep tube-wells, submersible pumps, handwashing stations, wash blocks, etc., by providing the design and estimated budget, preparing work schedules, implementing and monitoring construction work and ensuring compliance with building and safety regulations.

∎ Report to : Manager- Area Program and Sr. Officer- Procurement & Logistics
∎ Location : Construction Sites in various FH Communities and Area Programs.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion;
∎ Review the construction project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs;
∎ Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations;
∎ Ensure compliance to all related FH Policies and standard including the Conflict of Interest Policy and No-Gift Policy throughout all processes of implementation;
∎ Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors;
∎ Design, select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory;
∎ Review the work progress on daily basis;
∎ Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status;
∎ Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones;
∎ Analyze, manage and mitigate risks;
∎ Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques;
∎ Ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget by setting benchmarks, and monitoring progress;
∎ Attend, participate, and contribute in meetings, workshops, networking events; and
∎ Other Duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least five (5) years related experience in the construction work implementation or related field;
∎ Direct experience within an NGO/INGO is a plus.
∎ A commitment to serving the poor and in full agreement with FH's foundation and beliefs as expressed in The Heartbeat: our Values, Vision, and Purpose;
∎ Excellent people skills including warmth and sensitivity, conversational, ability to relate to and communicate with people from different cultures (at various levels within the organization);
∎ High integrity and a strong sense of professional ethics;
∎ Proven working experience in construction management;
∎ Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods;
∎ Expert knowledge of building materials, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards;
∎ Understanding of all facets of the construction process;
∎ Medical fitness to live and travel in rural and urban areas with extreme conditions and limited medical support;
∎ Willingness to travel extensively in the area/locations using own/organization motorcycle or local transport. Valid driving license is a plus.

Salary: Tk. 45000 - 50000 (Monthly)
