Job Responsibilities:
∎ The High Commission of Canada seeks a qualified candidate to serve as a Property Assistant for High Commission of Canada to Bangladesh. The successful candidate will report to the Property & Material Manager and be tasked to do the following:
∎ Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance and repairs on the installed Electrical/Mechanical equipment including low and high voltage distribution systems, UPS, HVAC, Chiller and associated pumps, swimming pool, generators, vehicle barriers, elevators, fire protection and detection systems, plumbing systems, water treatment and distribution systems, Building Management System, lighting control and residential wiring at the Chancery and Staff Quarters;
∎ Monitor and work with contractors;
∎ Respond to service calls from the Official Residence, Recreational Facility, Chancery and the Staff Quarters; and
∎ Other tasks as required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to education, language* and experience.
∎ Candidates must clearly demonstrate when applying to the position how they meet each of these essential qualifications.
∎ *Language will be assessed further during the process.
∎ English and Bengali (written & oral proficiency)
∎ Minimum three (3) years of experience working with a government or private organization (within the past 6 years) with responsibility for property maintenance, systems installations or building construction.
∎ Experience assisting in facility management of an establishment (e.g. hotel, hospital, embassy or commercial compound, etc.).
Salary:
∎ BDT 1,061,931 including housing allowance per year (Non-negotiable). + paid overtime and other attractive benefits. .
