Job Context:
∎ Gram Unnayan Karma (GUK) is one of the leading non-government development organization in Bangladesh. The organization is helping the under-privileged people of Bangladesh by providing finance, education, health care and market linkage to realize their full potential. GUK is operating its activities in 56 districts of Bangladesh by engaging 5500 employees. GUK administration department is responsible for new office drawing, office construction, repairing, maintenance & decoration of office space and sketch design for new project infrastructure etc. We are looking for a young, energetic and dynamic engineer to be our family member.
∎ Job Location: Bogura, may be transferred to Dhaka or elsewhere in Bangladesh as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Advise supervisor on the construction of head office building of GUK at Bogura, Dhaka and other field offices as well and take lead as a technical person.
∎ Review, check and update necessary design, drawing & BOQ requirements of the consultants/contractor and help the procurement team in preparing procurement documents, EOI, TOR, estimates etc.
∎ Check and verify tender documents, bill vouchers, running bills etc.
∎ Prepare yearly/monthly repair and maintenance plan for GUK Bogura, Dhaka & sub-offices and perform accordingly.
∎ Act as a focal for budget management for new construction, repair & maintenance of the buildings and update supervisor on regular basis.
∎ Ensure construction, repair & maintenance in a timely manner and cost effective.
∎ Prepare project schedule, progress report and share the updates with supervisor on regular basis
∎ Ensure quality of materials through lab test or perform field test and ensure proper inventory.
∎ Any other relevant task assigned by the supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Candidate should have at least Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from any public university.
∎ Should have at least 5 years of professional experience in the similar field.
∎ Should have sound knowledge in Auto CAD, ETABs or other structural design software.
∎ Should have good understanding on building codes like ACI, BNBC, Bangladesh Imarat Nirman Bidhimala or update RAJUK rules etc.
∎ Should have working knowledge on MS offices, Teams, Zooms and other virtual platforms
Salary: Tk. 65000 - 70000 (Monthly)
