Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
∎ An advanced degree in public health (MPH), social science, Health Economics or another relevant field will be given preference

Job Context:
∎ Hope Foundation for Women and Children is providing health care services to the poor and underserved people of Cox`s Bazar District at free of cost and subsidized prices for the last 23 years. Hope Foundation has been implementing maternal, child and family planning services since the beginning of its establishment. HOPE Foundation has a 40 bed hospital at Dakkhin Mithachari Ramu, Cox`s Bazar, and also a 50 bed Hope Field hospital for Women, Camp-4 Ukhiya. Moreover, Hope Foundation also established another 50 bed Hope Infection Prevention and Control Center at Camp-4 Ukhiya from the beginning of COVID pandemic situation in 2020.

∎ The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Hope Field Hospital in camp-4, Ukhiya, Cox`s Bazar is to provide leadership and oversee the medical operations of the hospital. In this role, S/he will be working in a unique setting, providing healthcare services to host and Rohingya community, particularly focusing on maternity and reproductive health.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide strategic direction and leadership for the clinical team including doctors, nurses, midwives and support staff in Hope Field hospital.
∎ Liaise with local health authorities and stakeholders to advocate for improved healthcare services for Rohingya refugees.
∎ Collaborate with other healthcare providers, NGOs, and international organizations to strengthen referral systems and ensure continuum of care.
∎ Develop and implement policies and protocols to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.
∎ Ensure that clinical staffs are complying with the organization policies when providing care.
∎ Participate in relevant meetings, workshops, and conferences to share experiences and contribute to the development of best practices.
∎ Work to address the challenges facing the Rohingya Community with a positive attitude, encouraging same from other physicians
∎ Arranges clinical meeting, case review meetings and death review meetings and support implementation of the recommendations from those meetings.
∎ Develop relationships with HOPE Foundation management and participate in meetings as necessary to stay informed of changes.
∎ Check and control the rational distribution of medicines and equipment.
∎ Take care of the quality, disinfection and sterilization of the medical material.
∎ Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective collaboration.
∎ Ensure the provision of comprehensive and compassionate healthcare services to pregnant women, new mothers, infants and general population.
∎ Oversee the implementation of evidence-based clinical practices and guidelines.
∎ Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
∎ Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and other safety measures.
∎ Identify training needs for medical staff and arrange trainings to enhance their skills and knowledge.
∎ Provide guidance and support to medical staff, promoting continuous professional development.
∎ Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement.
∎ Ensure accurate and timely collection, analysis, and reporting of medical data.
∎ Utilize data to monitor key performance indicators, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
∎ Prepare regular reports on the hospital's medical activities, achievements, and challenges.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 45 to 60 years
∎ Experience in quality improvement for clinical service delivery of primary care services is a must.
∎ Recent service provider experience in maternal child health, including labor and delivery including C sections or family planning.
∎ Familiarity with the latest methodologies of quality improvement and patient safety.
∎ Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in complexes environments.
∎ A comprehensive understanding of the Government of Bangladesh's guidelines and protocols regarding the Essential Service Package, as well as understanding internationally recognized best practices in the delivery of primary care services.
∎ Experience working with private sector quality initiatives preferred.
∎ Experience in accreditation, standard development or certification, continuous learning program will be an asset.
∎ Experience in handling information technology for quality improvement and capacity building.
∎ Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing in both Bangla and English.
∎ Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
∎ Demonstrated integrity, independent thinking, judgment, and respect for others.
