Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Check and validate passenger tickets during boarding or while on the bus to ensure they are valid for the specific route and time.Ensure that passengers have the correct fare and any necessary passes or discounts.Customer Service:Provide excellent customer service by answering passenger inquiries regarding ticketing, routes, schedules, and fare policies.Assist passengers with any issues related to their tickets or travel plans.Fare Collection:Collect fares from passengers who do not have tickets or who need to purchase tickets on the bus.Process cash and electronic payments for ticket purchases and provide receipts as needed.Enforcement of Policies:Enforce fare policies and regulations, addressing any fare evasion or non-compliance by passengers.Issue warnings or citations to passengers who do not comply with ticketing rules.Monitoring Passenger Behavior:Monitor passenger behavior to ensure a safe and respectful environment on the bus.Address any disruptive behavior or conflicts among passengers as needed.Reporting and Documentation:Maintain accurate records of ticket inspections, fare collections, and any incidents that occur during the shift.Report any issues or irregularities to management or relevant authorities.Assisting Passengers:
∎ Must be able to speak and write in English.
