Job Context:
∎ Introduction: The Supply Chain Manager coordinates, organizes, and oversees all activities involved in the identification, acquisition, production, and distribution of the company’s goods.
∎ Objectives: A Supply Chain Manager is a professional who is in charge of every stage of an organization`s supply chain, from purchasing raw materials to production.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Maintaining liaison with customs, C&F and other related Government officials.
∎ Maintaining critical liaison with supplier, Port Authority, Shipping agent, Bank and Insurance Company.
∎ Developing material costs forecasts or standard cost lists.
∎ Appraising vendor manufacturing ability through on-site visits and measurements.
∎ Negotiation prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders.
∎ Monitoring supplier performance to assess the ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
∎ Can be able to handle (prepare, submit and pursue) tender documents of TCB, DGDP and other Govt. Depts.
∎ Monitoring forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
∎ Analyze information about supplier performance or procurement program success
∎ Developing or implementing procedures or systems to evaluate or select suppliers.
∎ Analyzing inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.
∎ Determining the most appropriate ways for goods and products to be distributed to the relevant customers and buyers across the country.
∎ Working with a variety of departments, including Sales and Procurement, to select the most appropriate products suitable for the clients
∎ Managing stock, goods, and raw materials across different locations.
∎ Producing and presenting performance reports to Senior Management.
∎ Developing and implementing supply chain-related policies and procedures
∎ Complying with all the relevant government and environmental regulations
∎ Liaising with professionals across different departments, companies, and cities
∎ Managing all contracts with the buyers and third-party contractors
∎ Holding regular meetings, face-to-face and over the phone, with clients
∎ Monitoring and analyzing the overall performance of the distribution team.
∎ Leading the SCM team to maintain optimum stock as per company policy & ensure stock availability as per demand.
∎ Leading S&OP meetings and coordinating with sales/marketing/production/finance to finalize demand planning/monthly operating plan/budget.
∎ Reviewing capacity and resources of production and preparing production planning/production scheduling aligned with production/toll unit based on current and pipeline stock.
∎ Preparing & generating MRP for the procurement team based on current/pipeline stock, supply, and order lead time.
∎ Preparing & coordinating with distribution to ensure stock availability in desired location/depot. Ensuring FG planning depot wise to ensure stock availability as per monthly operating plan/demand planning.
∎ Ensuring safety stock of each location through monitoring stock movement/trend analysis/demand planning/production planning.
∎ Regularly monitor buffer penetration, analyze and interpret causes of overstocking and stock out.
∎ Analyzing market and industry to understand consumer insight and prepare a necessary report to a better understanding of the trend of product and suggest sales/marketing bring necessary adjustment in forecast/strategy.
