Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and implement HR policies in alignment with labor laws and company objectives.
∎ Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training processes to meet manpower requirements.
∎ Manage payroll, attendance, and employee benefits administration.
∎ Address employee grievances and promote a positive work environment.
∎ Conduct performance appraisals and recommend promotions or disciplinary actions.
∎ Ensure adherence to local labor laws, international labor standards, and buyer compliance requirements (e.g., ILO, BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, RSC).
∎ Prepare and maintain all compliance-related documents and reports.
∎ Coordinate and oversee audits by buyers, third parties, or regulatory bodies.
∎ Implement corrective action plans (CAP) to address audit findings and prevent recurrence.
∎ Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) standards.
∎ Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments.
∎ Develop and implement safety training programs for employees.
∎ Promote sustainability initiatives in alignment with buyer requirements (e.g., ZDHC, Higg Index). Maintain and update employee records, contracts, and policy documents.
∎ Prepare reports on absenteeism, turnover, training, and compliance updates for management review.
∎ Stay updated with changing labor laws and ensure policy updates are communicated effectively.
∎ Liaise with factory management, production teams, and buyers for smooth operations.
∎ Collaborate with government bodies, trade unions, and NGOs to resolve labor issues amicably.
∎ Communicate and implement buyer-specific requirements across factory operations.
∎ Handle disputes, strikes, or emergencies professionally and in compliance with legal requirements.
∎ Develop and implement contingency plans to address unforeseen compliance or HR challenge
