Foreign procurement, Foreign Trade, Raw Materials Sourcing

Chemical Industries, Group of Companies
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Analyzing PR (Purchase Requisition), Preparing CS (Comparative Statement), and Issuing of PO (Purchase Order) and following up until the final delivery.
∎ Monitoring market price of materials and updating market intelligence to collect raw material samples from foreign suppliers and send them to the respective plant Labs whether those samples comply with approved standard specifications.
∎ Obtain competitive quotations for requirements and ensure that the best product is sourced and purchased with approval from management.
∎ Establishing a solid base of suppliers, vendors & service providers for supplies of Raw Materials, Machineries & spares as well as logistics operations.
∎ Preparing documents to open L/Cs, thus coordinating with banks and insurance companies. In addition, maintaining the LC Pipelines & LC Register.
∎ Checking up on all foreign trade and shipping documents & addressing discrepancies of shipping documents as per LC as well as following up on the whole shipping process.
∎ Maintaining liaison with C&F agents and Corresponding with transport as well as lightering agencies and plant store for smooth and timely delivery of imported goods.
∎ Calculating total landed cost for every consignment.
∎ Processing and following up Advance Payment Guarantees & performance guarantees.
∎ Conducting audit on the whole process according to ISO 9001:2015 Quality System Procedure.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 35 years
∎ Proven working experience in a similar field.
∎ Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes.
∎ Talent in negotiations and networking
∎ Excellent analytical and planning skills
∎ Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills, and ability to prioritize
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
∎ Thorough understanding of logistics and intricacies of shipping from different countries
∎ General understanding of import duties on products from foreign countries
∎ Ability to work independently while working within a team
∎ Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills. Some knowledge of PowerPoint is preferred
∎ Friendly, courteous, and helpful personality
