Educational Requirements:
∎ BSc/Diploma in Mechanical/Civil engineering from any recognized and reputed Institute/ University (Public/ Private).
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 8 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The incumbent to be responsible for:
∎ Preparation of ITP (Inspection Test Plan) and making sure that the job is carried out accordingly.
∎ Develop Quality plans that comply with project procedures.
∎ Familiarize with project specifications and quality control manual.
∎ Establish QAP/ITP for each discipline / Review and approve ITP/QAP.
∎ Review the formats mentioned in the ITP and make sure that all stage wise control measures are taken care off.
∎ Establish WPS, PQR, and Method Statement, Job Procedure etc.
∎ Carrying out stage wise inspection as per approved ITP.
∎ Welding consumable are checked on regular basis to ensure proper use.
∎ Checking the calibration of all measuring equipment’s.
∎ Randomly checking welding parameters according to approved WPS (Ampere, Voltage, Travel Speed and Gas flow rate) Filing, Review and retaining of NDT reports and inspection reports.
∎ Witness of NDT (MT, PT, RT & UT) processes.
∎ Witness for Welder & Welding Operator qualification test Perform and monitor WQT & Identify Welder ID.
∎ Checking that the welding procedures to be used are approved and duly qualified as required.
∎ Monitoring the capability of each welder on the basis of UT Reports. Checking the correct measurement of hardness when required and the acceptability of the results.
∎ Review of mill certificates, consumable test certificates and calibration certificates of equipment’s.
∎ To verify that all work is performed in accordance with the engineering design requirements, codes, standards & project contract agreements etc.
∎ To carryout report preparation, review, submission and documentation as per client and quality system requirements. Also to control calibrated measuring and test equipment used in projects.
∎ Supervise the implementation of the relevant QA & QC procedures, QC plans and to Instruction concerned QA/QC Engineer.
∎ To coordinate with client inspection department at various stages of fabrication activities and getting approval.
∎ To be conversant with International Codes like ASME section II, AWS D1.1, D1.11, etc.
∎ Familiar with ISO, ANSI, AISC, ASTM, IS Etc.
∎ To carried out all QA & QC aspects of painting (As given to QA & QC Engineer, Painting & Coating).
∎ Supervise QA/QC Engineer for materials receiving, marking & cutting, fit-up, welding, visual, dimension, blasting & painting, final inspection etc.
∎ Conduct regular training for the QC Engineer, Welders, Fitters and Painters.
∎ Assist in other work arranged by colleagues, superiors, managers and project head.
∎ Any other assignment/job not detailed herein & felt conductive by Management as and when necessary.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Age may be relaxed for most deserving/qualified candidates.
∎ Minimum 8-10 year(s) experience of similar Steel Factory working.
∎ Additional Qualification: NDT level II certification in line with ASNT-TC-1A, ASNT NDT Level-II (UT, PAUT, MT, PT, VT), Certified Welding Inspector (Must) AWS CWI / CSWIP 3.1.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
∎ Engineering Firms, Group of Companies, Real Estate
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): PEB, Steel Structures, Bridge, Structural, Fabrication, Welding, QA/QC, Factory.
∎ Should be self-motivated, dynamic leadership, negotiation, customer relationship and planning/budgeting competency, energetic & capable to work under pressure.
∎ Must have experience in larger project and to to handle projects independently.
∎ Sound Knowledge on civil design and Bangladesh National Building Code.
∎ Knowledge of Tekla Structures, CAD & AutoCAD, any other software with animation capability will be an additional advantage.
∎ Place of duty at Factory, Mirsarai, BEZA, Chattogram & have to stay in the factory.
∎ Excellent Analytical skills and Excellent oral, written, English communication skills.
