∎ Shahriar Steel Mills Ltd. invites application from competent & potential talents for the position of "Assistant General Manager (AGM) - Quality ". We are looking for dynamic & experience leader with a proven track record. Person having more than 15 years of work experience in Quality department. He Should have knowledge in Metallography, Microstructure, Heat Treatment, NDT, Steel making, Failure analysis, product development, quality control procedures, TQM etc. To meet the requirement of our demand, we need to fill up following vacancy immediately.
∎ Job Location: Head Office & Factory
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Should have extensive knowledge in process technologies of Primary /Secondary steel melting, Continuous Casting, Billet Casting & Rolling technologies with special reference to long products in SBQ / Engineering steel.
∎ Experience in melting of special steels.
∎ Monitoring of Quality assurance activities and ensure smooth functioning with other interfacing departments.
∎ Ensure reduction of rejections and attending the customer complaints / enquiries promptly. Development and stabilization of new product.Monitoring & stabilization of internal production process and system.
∎ Ensure Zero Mix-up materials, timely clearance of materials.
∎ Ensure Quality improvements
∎ Sound knowledge of all quality management systems.
∎ Conversant with National and International standards.
∎ Responsibility of customer Approvals from feasibility study, also bench mark competitor & development plan.
∎ Metallurgical study & follow up for all approval testing results.
∎ Responsibility series production support to all cross fictional team (operation, sales & marketing, SCM & logistic departments).
∎ Develop process routing a raw material selection to achieve end customers specifications.
∎ To have success with key customer estimate the commercial & operations to support their aim & objects.
∎ Member TQM Team for daily Management implementation across plant. Accreditation of Mechanical & Metallurgical testing lab in accordance to ISO 6935:2:2016.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 40 to 50 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Capability enhancement of mechanical & metallurgical testing lab by installing various modern testing equipment's.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Quality, Control & Production
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Steel Industry.
∎ Technically sound & through knowledge of steel making process
∎ Leadership skills, including ability to manage time effectively & handle both internal & external conflicts.
∎ Strong ability to organize effectively, delegate responsibility, solve problems quickly & communicate clearly.
∎ Strong team building, decision-making & people management skills.
∎ analytical skills and an innovative approach to problem solving.
∎ Strong written communication and presentation skills required.
∎ Ability to identify processes needing improvement, and to recommend improvements.
∎ Proactive and Analytical decision-making.
