Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Public University (BUET/ KUET/ RUET/ CUET/ DUET will get preference).
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ Duration of contract: 1 Year (with possibility of extension).
∎ Reporting to: Director, Estate Department.
∎ Duty station: National Headquarters`, Dhaka.
∎ Red Cross-Red Crescent movement is the largest volunteer organization in the world. Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS), a national society of the movement, constituted on 31 March 1973 by the President`s Order No. 26 of 1973 with retrospective effect from 16 December 1971, is the biggest humanitarian organization in Bangladesh. As an auxiliary to the government, the Society provides humanitarian assistance to the vulnerable populace and has undertaken a wide range of activities in humanitarian response, disaster management, health, capacity building and in promoting Red Cross/Red Crescent ideals and principles.
∎ Currently Bangladesh Red Crescent Society is looking for a suitable Bangladeshi national for the following position under Estate Department:
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Undertake the lead responsibilities of all construction works of the society.
∎ Maintaining all the buildings/ establishments.
∎ Planning, Monitoring and Guidance of Engineering Section.
∎ Innovate ideas for upgrade the old buildings/ establishments.
∎ Plan for utilization of lands of the society by building modern structures.
∎ Liaison with Govt and regulating bodies.
∎ Liaison with IFRC, ICRC & other Partner Societies.
∎ Any other responsibilities assigned by the authority.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Good Computer skills with architectural design, AutoCAD and software operation.
∎ Organizing, Coordination and Planning skills.
∎ Sound knowledge in subject area.
∎ The incumbent should be dynamic, well organized, self-driven & have good personality with leadership skill.
∎ Should be able to work under pressure.
∎ Willingness to field visit as and when required.
∎ Fluent in English and Bangla.
∎ Adhere to the 7 fundamental principles of Red Cross and Red Crescent movement.
∎ Act at all times in accordance with the Code of Conduct.
∎ Able to work in a team and respects opinions of others.
∎ Honest and high level of integrity.
∎ Assist the organization on occasion, in times of national, international, local emergencies or major disasters.
∎ Age limit: 40 years (age limit will be relaxed in case of potential candidate).
Salary:
∎ Up to BDT. 80,000/- (Monthly Consolidated).
