Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Prepare accurate bills for patients during admission and discharge.
∎ Calculate charges based on services provided, including consultation, diagnostics, bed/ward charges, procedures, and medicines.
∎ Clearly explain billing details to patients or their attendants.
∎ Issue receipts and collect payments (cash/card/mobile banking).
∎ Handle insurance claims, corporate billing, and maintain due/receivable records.
∎ Prepare daily cash reports and hand over to the Accounts Department.
∎ Input and update billing data in hospital software or billing systems.
∎ Verify charges according to doctor instructions and department services.
∎ Assist in resolving billing disputes, corrections, and patient concerns.
∎ Maintain confidentiality and ensure accurate financial documentation.
