∎ Chemonics International, Inc., a U.S.-based international development consulting firm, is seeking qualified candidates for USAID Feed the Future Bangladesh Horticulture, Fruits, and Non-Food Crops Activity. The activity supports the Government of Bangladesh (GOB) food security objective by increasing the private sector’s capacity to increase productivity and production of quality horticulture, fruits, and non-food crops that meet international standards. The activity will also strengthen the value chain, linking Bangladeshi smallholder commercial farmers, and other value chain actors towards increasing the efficiency of the market system to meet domestic and international market demands. The result will be a more competent private sector, and efficient market systems that will increase farmers’ income and improve the food security of Bangladesh.
∎ The Administrative Officer will need to provide logistical and administrative support for project activities, volunteers, and staff. Primary responsibilities include the coordination, provision of operational services including logistics, vehicle, inventory, file management, correspondence, office maintenance, petty cash administration, travel, equipment maintenance, office lease management, transportation, and support for workshops, public events and/or official visits.
∎ Provide logistical and administrative support and supervision of general office support services and facilities management.
∎ Ensure that all assets are properly recorded in the inventory register and conduct regular inventory of all office equipment.
∎ Collect and review vehicle logbook and regularly review drivers’ maintenance records and logbooks to ensure that proper records are maintained for office vehicles.
∎ Make all arrangements for on-site and off-site meetings, conferences, and workshops.
