Job Context:
∎ The Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) serves as the national trade organization representing yarn, fabric manufacturers, and textile product processors within the private sector of the country. Established in 1983 and officially registered with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC) as an Association, BTMA holds a pivotal role in the development of the Primary Textile Sector (PTS) of the nation.
∎ Functioning as the apex trade body dedicated to advancing the Primary Textile Sector (PTS), BTMA prioritizes continuous sector enhancement through initiatives such as skills augmentation, policy advocacy, legislative support, and the implementation of innovative technologies. Presently, BTMA is seeking an Additional Secretary General who fulfills the following requirements:
∎ Job Location: Level-8, UTC Bhaban, 8, Panthapath, Kawran Bazar, Dhaka-1215
∎ Employment Status: Full-time (Contract Basis)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure the administration, finance, accounts, and protocol of BTMA in accordance with the organogram, service rules, and Articles of Association as desired by the President BTMA and the Board of Directors.
∎ Possess a strong understanding of pertinent laws and significant issues in the primary textiles sector.
∎ Perform any other duties as assigned by the higher management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 55 to 65 years
∎ Minimum of 15 years' experience as an army official, with 2/3 years' experience in the Textiles sector.
∎ Excellent communication skills in both English and Bengali.
Salary: Negotiable
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ As per BTMA Service Rules/negotiable.
