∎ At least 2 years of working experience in administration/accounts position is preferable. The position is fixed for both female and male candidates.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Data Entry in Excel (Material Receive, Issue Etc.)
∎ Program wise Material Issue & Uses report.
∎ Monthly physical inventory (Included department wise work in progress, finished goods & material).
∎ Maintains project Financials and accounting files.
∎ Reviews all kind of invoices and ensure all documents are following project policies and prepare the relevant voucher for payment.
∎ Before any payment make sure expenses are allowable, approved properly before processing, verifying documentation, have enough supporting documents, and appropriate exchange rate and cash management in place.
∎ Maintenance of Bank Register and Cash Book.
∎ Preparation of petty cash vouchers and maintenance of petty cash register.
∎ Prepare salary, benefit and honoraria sheet/register and submit it to bank with necessary instructions.
∎ Ensure payments are made after fulfilling of all the required formalities.
∎ Ensure safe custody of the cash in hand and cheque books of the office.
∎ Collect and reconcile bank statements as and when required.
∎ Ensure that each and every staff duly sign salary and benefit register and honoraria sheet.
∎ Procurement and Stock Maintenance.
∎ Maintain the staff movement register for all the project office staff.
∎ Maintain both Consumable and Fixed Asset Register.
∎ Maintain personal files and records of all staff.
∎ Arrange procurement as per procurement policy and budget provision.
∎ Assist Field Manager in preparing required reports and documentation.
∎ Record all correspondence received in register on a regular basis.
∎ CWFD emerged from an emotional response to help women in need of reproductive health care counseling. The organization, originally named as “Concerned Women for Family Planning (CWFP), started its voluntary activities in 1974 to help the refuge coming to Dhaka city after the devastating famine of 1974. The organization was registered in 1975 with Directorate of Social welfare and formally launched its project activities in 1976 with only 5 female staff to cover an area of Dhaka city slum comprising around 50,000 people. ∎ Expected Programme Output(s): Adolescents and youth will have increased access to gender-transformative, SRHR life skills and lifesaving awareness-raising with specific focus on prevention of child marriage.
∎ Programme background: Concerned Women for Family Development will receive funds from United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to implement Global Programme to End Child Marriage (GPECM): Phase-III under the Adolescents and Youth Programme. The GPECM: Phase-III aims to eliminate child marriage in Bangladesh and ensure that adolescent girls, including the most marginalized, experience healthier, safer, and more empowered life transitions.
∎ A Social Norm and Behaviour Change Accelerator training curriculum has been designed to integrate PLUS components to compliment the Government’s social protection; VWB and skill building program for women. This training curriculum is designed to expedite change in gender norms and harmful social behaviours to address root causes of child marriage in Bangladesh. The curriculum promotes positive social behaviours to challenge high-level gender norms perpetuating child marriage in Bangladesh.
∎ Job Duration: Up to 31 December 2024 and may be extended depending on availability of fund.
∎ Job Summary:
∎ The Accounts & Administrative Officer is responsible for implementation of planned activities of Adolescents & Youth Programme which include a) Life Skills Education Programme; b) Digital Life Skills education programme; and c) UNFPA’s humanitarian programme for adolescents & youth in targeted areas in the UNFPA targeted areas under its 10th Country Programme and current project activities such as maintaining general accounts, administrative activities in the assigned area of operation and to provide extensively assist to Administrative Manager and Finance Manager, as well as and other concern officials under those programmes. He/ She will provide support to maintain coordination with respective bank, service providers of the operational areas.
∎ The Accounts & Administrative Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Administrative Manager and Finance Manager of those programme. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the implementation of quality program interventions. The Accounts & Administrative Officer will maintain coordination and liaison with all the programme stakeholders.
∎ Responsibilities and Tasks:
∎ Line of Responsibility: The Accounts & Administrative Officer is directly reportable to the Administrative Manager and Finance Manager.
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ BDT 40,000/- per month (including all other benefits).
