Job Context:
∎ The Accounts and Administrative Officer is responsible to support the implementation of the project budget and ensure financial requirements. S/he is responsible for the compliance requirements and regulation of the donor and agreed documents of BLAST. The incumbent will review and check the relevant documents of project activities. S/he will keep continuous contact with the HO Finance team/DD Finance and receive guidance.
∎ The incumbent will have to coordinate and provide assistance to the internal and external auditors at the time of audit. Additionally, s/he will act on other tasks assigned from time to time by the supervisor as and when required.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Preparing and checking all bills and vouchers.
∎ Preparing and dispatching Monthly/ Quarterly/ Yearly financial statements by using Tally Accounting Software.
∎ Preparing Bank Reconciliation Report (BRR).
∎ Preparing and maintaining, journal entries, stock register, cheque register, asset register and VAT, and TAX register.
∎ Maintaining legal service bill register.
∎ Maintaining Litigation Provision Statement.
∎ Checking all financial transactions and positions to be updated regularly of the Unit Office.
∎ Preparing of monthly/ quarterly/yearly budget of the Unit in consultation with the Coordinator of the Unit.
∎ Sending the financial statements and other documents to the Head Office.
∎ Maintaining correspondence with the Bank.
∎ Performing administrative responsibilities as per the guideline of the Unit Coordinator.
∎ Following up the instructions of the Head Office and the Coordinator of the Unit.
∎ Performing all other duties as and when required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 3 years of experience in the relevant field in national/international NGOs is preferable.
∎ Proficient in budget formats in excel or any other standard financial management programs will be a plus point.
∎ Sound knowledge and understanding of qualitative and quantitative assessment techniques.
∎ Strong communication skills and proven experience in interpreting information and report writing in Bangla and English.
∎ Capacity to work independently, and under pressure.
∎ Good computer knowledge especially in MS Word, Excel, Accounting Software (Tally), and also should be good in email communication.
