Job Context:
∎ As a General Manager you will oversee the entire country organization and be responsible for developing strategic and operational plans to ensure that both short- and long-term business objectives for the organization are met or exceeded and build an agile organization that meet future challenges.
∎ You show the way, you lead by example, and drive the affiliate together with your 230 dedicated colleagues and you will report to the Vice President of BASEA (Business Area South East Asia), and be member of the management team of BASEA.
∎ The market potential is huge, and your main role is to meet the growing need of treating diabetes and other chronical diseases, that Novo Nordisk is committed to defeat.
∎ You are expected to build and strengthen local relationship and act as a corporate citizen in Bangladesh through positive relationship with external parties, authorities, industry, customers, and suppliers, to enhance the corporate image and making Novo Nordisk Bangladesh the preferred partner.
∎ We expect our general manager to always ensure compliance at all level; In accordance with Novo Nordisk WAY and our Business Ethics.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To be successful in this role you need to have a relevant graduate level degree, e.g. Pharmacy, Science or Business Administration with at least 10 years' experience in pharmaceutical or related industry and minimum of 5 years' in sales marketing, business development or finance position.
∎ Furthermore, minimum of 5 years in people management position where you have been leading leaders and being used to leading large teams. You must have documented experience of developing people and securing high performing team.
∎ We are looking for a leader who Walks the Talk, who has good communications skills, a flexible and humble attitude. A 'can-do' attitude, innovative mindset, and a good cultural understanding, and being cross cultural adaptable. Fluency in both written and spoken English are required and knowledge in one local language is an advantage.
