Job Context:
∎ We are seeking Five experienced drivers to join a new USAID funded agricultural R4D project focused on efficient surface water irrigation, scale-appropriate mechanization, and conservation agriculture, to sustainably intensify cropping systems in Southern Bangladesh.

∎ Place of posting: Cox`s Bazar, Bogura, Jashore, Faridpur, Bangladesh.
∎ The position is for Bangladesh Nationals for an initial fixed-term contract of 1 year with a three-month initial probationary period, after which further employment is subject to performance and the continued availability of funds. Job Responsibilities:
∎ Drive carefully to authorized person working for and with CIMMYT in Bangladesh.
∎ Maintain and keep track of the blue books, logbooks, insurance and other documents of the vehicle and make sure that they are in good working conditions.
∎ Keep the Officer Admin and Finance well informed on requirements, problems to be fixed so that action could be taken on timely manner.
∎ Posting and delivering of all official documents and keeping accurate records in a peon book.
∎ Keep all conversations made in the vehicle as well as in the CIMMYT office with strict confidentiality.
∎ Show full professionalism while driving office vehicles. There will be no tolerance of aggressive talks, behavior or driving.
∎ Perform other tasks/duties as assigned by supervisor.
∎ However, since the CIMMYT office works as a team, it is expected that driver will operate and work as a team member, attempting to accomplish any task or work that is placed before him/her.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years of driving experience;
∎ Good driving skill with valid driving license;
∎ Well known about the traffic rules and policies of Bangladesh Government and the policy/procedures of the BRTA;
∎ Basic troubleshooting and mechanical knowledge;
∎ Must be an honest and sincere person;
∎ Good sense and obedience;
∎ Understand the priority and demands of the passengers;
